Privacy
What Resoundle keeps about you, why, and how to have it removed. Resoundle is run by the Resoundle team.
What we collect
- From Google, when you sign in: your email address, your name and your Google account ID.
- Your account: the display name you choose, when you agreed to the Terms, and how many sounds you made each day (for the daily limit).
- What you type: your prompts, style descriptions and project names.
- The sounds made for you.
- Your ratings and feedback on sounds. Your IP address is saved with each rating and each piece of feedback.
- Technical logs: what was requested and when. While a sound is being made, your IP address is also used to limit how many sounds one person can have waiting at once.
Older accounts that sign in with a username and password: we keep the username and a scrambled (hashed) form of the password, never the password itself.
Why
To sign you in, make and keep your sounds, apply the daily limit, stop abuse, fix problems, and learn from ratings which sounds work well.
Where it is kept and who handles it
- Our server stores your account, prompts, sounds and ratings.
- Google handles sign-in. The pages also load their fonts from Google Fonts, so Google sees your IP address.
- Cloudflare carries the network connection between your browser and our server, so it sees your IP address, your browser type and the traffic passing through.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Cookies
We use three cookies, all needed for the app to work:
- resound_session keeps you signed in.
- resound_rater remembers which ratings are yours.
- resound_oauth protects a Google sign-in while it happens, and expires after 10 minutes.
There are no ad or tracking cookies and no analytics. Your browser also remembers small settings, such as light or dark theme, on your own device.
How long we keep it
Your account, prompts, sounds and ratings (with the IP address saved on each) are kept while your account is open. Technical logs are kept only as long as needed to run and protect the service. Nightly backups are kept for 14 days, so deleted data leaves the backups within 14 days.
Your choices
To get a copy of your data, correct it, or have your account and data deleted, write to [email protected]. We may ask you to confirm the account is yours.
Changes
If this policy changes, the newest version will be on this page. For big changes we will tell you in the app.
